About Krompa
We were founded in 2023 in the Batman OSB.

What we do
We convert coil into stainless tube and box section on our own line. We hold sheet, tube and box section in stock and cut to the size on your order.
Services
We make tube from coil on our own line, supply it from stock and cut it to your length.

The grade is set by where the material sits and what load it carries.
For dry interiors where only appearance matters, 430 or 201 is enough. 304 is used in kitchens, food and general fabrication. Near the sea, at a pool, with chlorinated cleaning or in a chemical plant you need 316; in these environments 304 develops pitting corrosion. 316 is supplied on request.
For cladding or panels, strength is not the deciding factor. If it carries a load, look at the yield strength (MPa): 201 at 260, 430 at 260, 304 at 230, 316 at 240. The highest and lowest differ by 30 MPa. Answer the environment question first.
Yield strength, MPa
Standard value; not a test result specific to Krompa.
Sheet (plate) value; does not apply to tube or box section.
201 cannot be told apart from 304 by eye. It costs less than 304. But its nickel content is low: 3.5–5.5% (304: 8–10.5%). Its protective oxide layer is not as stable as that of 304. Outdoors, by the sea, in wet areas and in chloride environments it develops surface rust in a short time. Choosing 201 knowingly, for a dry interior, is the right call.
Nickel ranges: standard value (EN 10088-2, ASTM A240).
